And most times, most of the time our interactions with each other, we operate pretty much out of our principles. We'd say, you know, this has to be, it has to be this way, or it has to be that way. And I believe those arguments are oftentimes a good model of how ideas either come to the fore or get buried. And unless there's that disagreement, things can be very bland. Nothing happens, but in that disagreement, is the seed that could separate us. And what we have yet to learn and we're not, we're not real good at it yet, what we have yet to learn is that disagreement does not mean I hate you. I am connected to you because we're both interested in the same town, the same group of people, the same whatever. We care about those people and we care about each other. And so, while we disagree, which is normal, it's normal to say, well, I don't think that's going to work. That's a kind of a normal reaction. But, after the conversation and after you've gone back and forth, and after you've argued your point, there comes a time to say, let's have a beer. Let's sit down and reconnect on a level different from ideas. On a level that is the people level, the level of the heart. And that's difficult to do because, ideas and positions can cement us in and and we get angry about somebody who disagrees. But getting underneath those initial reactions, means reconnecting with the people we are. And that I believe is the key, is the key to how we live together on this planet. How do we live together in this city? How does our family stay together? Not because we all agree or we all say the same thing. But because there is a level of the heart.
