Mosaic Embryos: Transfer into Prenatal Care

This webinar discusses the potential pre- and postnatal implications of mosaic embryo results from pre-implantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A). Kaitlin Kerr, Reproductive Genetic Counselor at Mount Sinai, reviews mosaicism, PGT-A technology, and the available prenatal testing options presented to patients in light of their PGT-A results. In addition, this talk delves into psychosocial considerations of the patients and their families as they navigate prenatal care following transfer of a mosaic embryo. Kaitlin Kerr is a Reproductive Genetic Counselor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai’s Department of Genetic and Genomics Sciences. She received a Bachelor of Science from Bucknell University, where she majored in Neuroscience with a cellular and molecular concentration as well as a minor in Japanese. She received her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Prior to her current position at Mount Sinai, Kaitlin worked in pediatric, adult, and prenatal genetics and contributed to interpretation of chromosomal microarray analysis findings for the cytogenetic laboratory at the University of Louisville.
