Before you crucify me for being a ZSD spamming lemming read below: I really really hate this ZSD spam playstyle. However, it's actually the best dmg wise against most of the monsters we have in the beta. If you're wearing rocksteady mantle, it's the best by far. Many of the monsters we can fight in the beta have deadzones on some of their hitboxes when doing attacks with their heads. This basically lets you spam ZSD at will. With Velkhana all breath attacks have a safe spot when latched on the head, it's stupid. I think this run can go sub 7 actually. I had a much better run where Velkhana dropped 2 pods before Area 2, which means I did 80%+ of its Hp in ~3:30 minutes. The pace was crazy but I messed up hard in area 2. And let's not talk about area 3, I clearly have issues playing there. I'm not so sure I want the claw to be allowed in TA rules anymore. Unless ZSD from claw gets massively nerfed, or monster hitboxes get buffed, I fear SA runs are gonna turn mostly into claw ZSD spam, and I really don't want that. That being said I'm done with Velkhana, I don't really like the fight and I like the optimal SA strat even less. :'( Song: The XX - Intro
