Acclaimed Derby based producer, Nikka Sev, is all set to release the first instalment from ‘The Remix Sessions’ series, titled ‘Gidhian Di Raniye Remix’. The remix features the evergreen classic by A.S. Kang, ‘Gidhian Di Rani’, released in 1978, with the original music provided by legendary Panjabi Folk producer, K.S. Narula. Lyrics were originally provided by Harbans Jandu more commonly known as Jandu Littranwala. The original percussion, now featured in most current Panjabi songs in the form of that infamous loop, was provided by none other than the elder brother of Tubsy, Sital Singh. The release, Nikka Sev’s first in two years, flips the original track on its head, giving it a new lease of life. The GDR Remix is not just your average remix. It also introduces fresh and exciting original production to give the track that modern edge for the current market. Nikka Sev would like to thank everyone involved in this project.
