Here is a stim that you never realised was a stim! YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS! So I have for the longest Time been in a shaker and what this means is I shake my eyes. It’s like a muscle spasm that I can control where my eyes shaken rapidly side to side but I do this for a few reasons. One is because hey it’s a cool party trick right but more importantly I do this to feel comfort as it’s quite comforting to just sit there and shake my eyes from side to side. Not being on the autism spectrum I have self symmetry behaviour where I am a Rock backwards and forwards or slap my hands or rub something on a desk like a pain so it makes a noise that I really like and this is a repetitive stim behaviour. But it wasn’t until recently that my partner pointed out to me that it is a stim that I do and my son (who may have ADHD or on the spectrum) also does it to stim.
