So, they resist change by not engaging with it 2. Deal with the emotional response to the change It may be anger, upset, fear, frustration, bitterness… The primary need is for you to give people time and to listen 3. Help them to understand the details of the changes and why they are right, given the situation 4. Help them explore the implications of the change Share the benefits, but also be honest with the negative implications 5. Look for ways to help them cope Training, support, guidance, practical help 6. If the change is not right for them, deploy whatever support the organization offers, so they can take the steps that are right for them RECOMMENDED EXERCISE 1.
