Escort Mission: Kuro「𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍」

Once a year, the when the stars are perfectly aligned, the gateway to the elusive fourth stage of 100 Evils will open. It's 100 Evils: Special Edition! Now, I said "See description" at the beginning of the video, so I'll explain myself right away. As you've likely noticed, this team includes two uncapped characters, contrary to our normal rules. It wasn't a matter of stats that forced me to include them (I went light on their SE, and their stats are only marginally higher than the capped characters, if at all), but a matter of tools. There are certain tools that no currently capped characters possess. To wit, Hazuki's Magia debuffs all enemies' attack for three turns; there are no longer any capped characters who can debuff enemy attack on Magia. The enemies in this stage hit so hard that even with Mito Rain, they still take off 70% of Kuro's HP per hit. We need two attack debuffs at all times (when not using an active provoke), and this is not feasible through memoria alone. As for Ria, she provides some much needed dark-type damage. With Ayaka's uncap, the only remaining capped dark-types are Rion and Kuro, neither of whom can deal much damage. Given how long this took with Ria's single-target attribute-strengthened damage (and this actually being the second clear with this team, after I optimized my racing line), it would have taken drastically longer if we had to plink the enemy with neutral hits from capped characters. What is more, the Infinite Iroha in wave 5 regenerates 115,000 HP per turn, a nightmare scenario for any team that struggles to deal damage rapidly. Even if it were possible to overcome that with neutral hits from capped characters, the quest overall would take well over 100 turns. There is also the fact that we need to deal damage quickly to avoid some particularly devastating Magia effects. If I could re-cap them for this challenge, I would (we actually want to avoid using Hazuki's Doppel, as its debuffs are not proportionally better than those on her Magia, compared to MP cost). However, I cannot. As more and more characters are uncapped, more tools are removed from our toolbox. There will eventually come a day when even Hotaru and Shiro are uncapped, and there is no one left but Kuro herself. But today is not that day, so let's see what we can do with a majority capped team! Our general strategy for waves 1, 2, and 4 is to rush Ria's MP and hit the enemy with a tier 2 or higher ailment to increase the supereffective multiplier, before nuking them with her Doppel. We use Hazuki's Magia and a smorgasbord of Attack down skills to keep the enemy's damage under control, and wield the ordinarily worthless Touka Tea memoria https://magireco.fandom.com/wiki/What...) to interrupt the enemy's MP charging at critical moments, buying us one more attack pattern before they'll attempt to charge again. For Little Kyubey and co. on wave 3, we try to keep the group alive to prevent Yachiyo's stacking buffs when her allies die, knocking off only Iroha, who can revive multiple teammates with a skill every few turns. Infinite Iroha on wave 5 is the only one we can't prevent from casting, and her Magia stacks a ton of debuff and ailment shields on her team, as well as ailment resist, HP regen, and temporary Survive. We knock out Nemu on the first turn, as she is a ruthless ailment spammer who will make our lives hell otherwise, and then ride it out until the Survive wears off. We knock out Ui next, as she charges team MP, and Infinite Iroha cannot be allowed to stack her Magia effects a second time. This one takes a bit longer, as between her ailment resist and ailment shields, the ailment supereffective multiplier trick is difficult to pull off. Even with Ria's Doppel, we're on the clock to finish the job with her Magia before Infinite Iroha regenerates too much. The final wave is a doozy: Devil Homura completely ignores provoke, so we need to rely entirely on attack debuffs to stop her. She'll buff her attack at regular intervals, and get an even bigger buff with her Magia, while skill sealing our entire team for two turns. While we can use Ria's Magia to remove her buffs and Hazuki's to debuff her in theory, even with both we'll be in an extremely precarious situation without memoria. It's better to try and finish the job before her second charging phase. As always, thank you so much for watching! Somehow, most of the music ended up being from Pokémon. That is at least partly a coincidence, despite Madokami repeating the famous Gen 2 quote. There probably won't be another Escort Mission for a while, but I'll see you when I see you!
