Escort Mission: Kuro「𝐊𝐈𝐌𝐎𝐂𝐇𝐈 𝐁𝐎𝐒𝐒 𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐇」

It's the Kuro Squad versus the challenge-mode Kimochi boss rush from Arc 2 chapter 11! With eight waves, the Kimochi boss rush is the longest challenge run we've ever attempted... at least in theory. In practice, some of our 100 Evils clears took longer than this, especially before we perfected our strategies. Nonetheless, with eight opponents, each featuring unique mechanics, I had to be careful to craft a team capable of taking down every one of them. One key breakthrough was the discovery that Mabayu's Magia could, in fact, remove a Kimochi's MP generation effect. If unable to cast their Magia, certain Kimochi cannot activate their primary boss mechanics at all, being heavily dependent on the Magia's special effects. In this way, Mabayu could shut down those Kimochi whose mechanics were problematic for us (such as Magia resist or casting Magia down on our team) while also giving our debuff memoria time to cool down. Most Kimochi cast Magia frequently, but stopping even some of them is useful for our long-term survivability. Mabayu's SE active can also block debuffs in a pinch. Hotaru and Seika hit much harder here than we're used to seeing due to the multi-tile nature of these bosses. Seika also has blast down on her Magia, which is quite useful as Kimochi only have blast discs. Her personal memoria has Aqua attribute draw, which allows us to replace a bad disc draw with Hotaru Accele with decent odds. I don't think I've ever used her personal memoria before, or any attribute draw, for that matter. It just goes to show that, like Seika herself, lots of things can be surprisingly useful if you know how best to apply them. You may notice that I've done something a bit strange with this team, which may or may not become a mainstay strategy going forward: double provoke. Both Hotaru and Mabayu have two provoke memoria each. With Kuro safely out of the way, we only need to Mito Rain the enemy one turn per cycle, or when they are casting Magia. This puts less strain on our attack debuff memoria, freeing them up to debuff Magia attacks more frequently. I actually first developed the double provoke strategy while completing a different challenge run, but I'm releasing this video first, since the fights were a lot easier than in the other one. If you watched the video all the way to the end, you already know who it is... As I am a master of procrastination, it was the announcement of Seika's uncap that finally got me to do these challenges with her. However, there was one significant barrier to entry: Story quests require a support character. Who has a capped character on their supports, well built but not too well built, with good memoria that fit with my team? The answer is Auroriel, a mutual of mine in-game, who was so kind as to specifically set up this Hotaru support so I could do this challenge. This Hotaru has a lot of AE, but lower SE, and lower flat stats on memoria to compensate (you can see that two of them are at level 15). I could not have even attempted this without their assistance, so thank you very much! As always, thank you for watching!
