Dance Moms Rosa Parks Episode is a HOT MESS

I loved watching Dance Moms growing up. But due to a lack of knowledge and overall awareness, I did not realize exactly how problematic it was. Now, re-watching it as an adult I realize just how horribly these children and their mothers (especially Nia and Holly) were treated for the sake of Abby's ego, and a collective paycheque. Obviously production played a role in the way things played out on the show, and that's especially disturbing when you think about how most of the plotlines involving Black folks on the show included blatant racism or covert racism. Acts that cause irreversible harm. The Rosa Parks episode just becomes more problematic everytime I watch it, so here I am to unpack it, talk about it, and of course give my honest opinions.
