Već naredne godine u proleće, nekadašnji ponos JAT-a, B727, zauvek je napustio flotu i poslat u penziju. Većina pilota i poneki flajt-inženjer prebačeni su na avione sa dvočlanim posadama B737 i ATR72. Ostali, verni starom dobrom "bonji", kao i kolege pred penzijom, nastavili su karijere na preostalim lepotanima tog tipa u Africi ili na Bliskom Istoku. The following year, in the spring, this yesterday company's pride forever left the fleet and sent into retirement. Most pilots and some flight engineers transferred to the aircraft with two man crews B737 and ATR72. Other colleagues faithful to good old B727 continued his career in the remaining pretties in Africa and the Middle East.
