AT Velkhana is one of the best fights in Iceborne. Velkhana was already a pretty good monster but the AT version made it perfect. Great and varied moveset, easy to recognise patterns, perfect amount of speed and downtime, maybe a tad too bulky. This is why I was so disappointed by Velkhana's return in Sunbreak. She got nerfed a lot, even if she does have some patterns and attacks from AT Velkhana. But they gave her so much downtime, made her slower, less aggressive... This fight is probably an even bigger skill check than both Fatalis and Alatreon. If you've beaten AT Velkhana, then you conquered Iceborne. Even AT Velkhana's theme is called "Iceborne's End". I personally find Velkhana as a monster much less interesting than the Elder Trio, the ice stuff just never clicks with me, but she is still very well designed, with pretty much her entire moveset and animations being unique. This run could've been better if I wasn't bad, but unfortunately, I am. The fastest run on AT Velkhana with Hammer is 5:45 so... Yeah, this is really nothing special.
