RMN fundamentally transforms catheter navigation using magnetic fields and robotic precision to navigate a magnetic catheter directly from the tip. The technology consists of two robotically-controlled magnets next to the operating table. During the procedure a specialized cardiologist, called an electrophysiologist, uses an intuitive computer interface to adjust the magnetic field around the patient. This allows the electrophysiologist to precisely direct and steer a cardiac ablation catheter that has a magnet embedded in its tip. Hundreds of physicians at over one hundred leading hospitals globally have used this technology to treat over 100,000 arrhythmia patients to date.
