[LIVE FORMER WR] ESWC I-2 - 28.87

Former WR is 28.89 by plastorex (+0.02) driven on 27th May 2020 (   • Launching myself into wr on I-2, whil...  ) TMX map link: https://nations.tm-exchange.com/track... This map is pure hell. It really is the epitome of frustration. Words cannot describe how annoying this map can become. To start it off - this map is a true start simulator. The first three loops are one of the most inconsistent loops ever in terms of speed. As you can see from both the live recording and the comparison run, my start was pure garbage. My WR gets a .50 CP3, which is absolutelly horrible taking into account that the best CP3 time I have ever gotten was a .43. There isn't really a consistent line for a mid .4x CP3 time, you just have to pray to God that you won't get any stupid slowdowns, such as the ones I got in my WR run. However, just after that, I got the most godly mid-part in the history of mankind. That no-jump was ripped straight from the depths of Heaven and given to me on a golden plateau. That fucking no-jump was the best no-jump I have ever gotten in my entire TrackMania carrer to this date. I will never, ever get such a fast and precise no-jump again in my life, so I am very glad I somehow didn't throw the rest of the run. And I wasn't far from doing just that. I tried to take the end safely, but somehow I completely miscalculated the entry point for the final trick just after the last loop, which makes your car roll. Unfortunately, the entry point for that trick is completely blind, and you have to turn left for the trick at a very specific time, which can only be guessed. Well... I almost missed hitting the green kerb lol, as you can see from the comparison I was barely able to hit the green kerb and to flip the car in such a way that it doesn't hit the finish block arch. Also unfortunately, that hesitation cost me about .02 seconds, as it can be seen again in the comparison run. This year, I only hunted this map today, taking me about 5-10 hours to get this run. But I also hunted this map back in late 2020 and early 2021, and I'd say, in total, I spent around 20-25 hours on this map, all hunting sessions considered. This WR is far from optimised, and the time can be brought down so much more. The start in my run can be improved by another .10 (!!!) seconds, and the end by another .05 seconds. With that in mind, a low to mid .7x should be, at least in theory, possible, and I don't expect this WR to hold for that long of a time. Timestamps: 0:00 - Live recording of the run 0:38 - Rendered run 1:09 - Comparison w/ Former WR 1:41 - Photo finish :P Cya everybody next time! -Hellcat
