Today we look at something a little closer to early Pokemon folklore, and try to explain the background of some common Pokemon Mandela effects. It's interesting now to look back at the generations of Pokemon that came right after Gen 1, as Gen 2 and Gen 3 were clearly still figuring things out and working on the ways they would build their games. A lot of odd Pokemon can be found from this era, with unusually uncommon spawns or being inadvertently hard to track down for one reason or another. These oddities led to some lost or forgotten Pokemon being frequently remembered as coming from a different game- Gen 2 Pokemon and Gen 3 Pokemon are especially subject to this phenomenon.
