Resident Evil 4 is one of the greatest games ever made, and its impact on the industry at large can still be felt 15+ years after its release. Depending on who you ask, Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games ever made and the peak of the series, or RE4 is when the series really started to go off the rails, and its influence hurt the gaming world as a whole. I also haven't touched Resident Evil 4 for over a decade...my last playthrough was shortly before RE5 launched in 2009. Part of me kept it that way because of how I held it in my mind, but it was time to revisit Resident Evil 4. Depending on what day of the week you asked me, it was my favorite game. Resident Evil 4 is still fantastic, although now I think I prefer the 2002 remake as the best Resident Evil game, I still hold it as one of the best games ever made. Often duplicated and imitated, but pretty much never topped. Even the Resident Evil 4 Remake couldn't touch it.
