Sousou no Frieren : EISEN COSPLAY TUTORIAL | how to make props using EVA Foam and yarn wig

One of the best animes of the season! After being stubborn for so long, I finally gave in and watched it, and it is ssssssssssssssssoooooooo good. It isn't exciting, it is nice and slow and very relaxing. It's a refreshing gem, so if you haven't seen it yet, go and watch it in Netflix I knew I wanted to cosplay someone from this series. I watched frieren with my kid, and I had red fabric on hand, I figured... let's do Eisen! I wanted to do eisen because I wanted to practice crafting with EVA foam again. I am always afraid of doing round shapes like helmets, but if you look at these scary projects and simplify them into basic shapes, you can conquer them. The key is to make the basic shapes then add on details. Learned a lot through this process, and I enjoyed making it with my kid (who was just there for moral support), and of course Seibah-chan who added her own touch (bite?) to the costume. There's a lot of himmel and frieren cosplayers out there, let's have more eisens and heiter to complete the heroes party. :D Hope this video helps! My cosplay/ costume showcase videos don't really have lots of views but I like making them coz I feel like a lot of the cosplays you see online are already the end product of the artist's efforts. There's not a lot of the behind the scenes or the thoughts of the cosplayers, or the whys and hows. (at least I don't see a lot of those, LOL) So, I am also making these videos to show the newbies especially, that amazing cosplays don't just happen in a snap, hopefully thru this they can see that with effort, anything is possible! And I wanted to make more of these especially for cosplays that I worked hard on and have a lot of sentimental value to me, kind of like a cosplay video diary. Does that make sense?
