MANCHESTER BUILDING BOOM | Central City South Massive New Construction

This video presents another snapshot of the massive new construction that's in progress in Manchester. It's unprecedented for Manchester and is unrivalled in any UK city apart from London. We look at Viadux, a new companion for the Beetham Hilton Tower, currently under construction where the far end of the platforms of Central Station used to be. We take a look the Tower of Light and explain exactly what it is. The controversial St Michael's project on the site of Bootle Street police station is finally underway. We take a last look at the 70 year old Reform Synagogue, which is about to be demolished. We pass by the Haciend and Vision Manchester, currently in planning, finishing at the massive First Street co-living residential development by the Mancunian Way. I'll be visiting another part of Manchester soon to bring you another snapshot of the unprecedented transformation that is currently taking place.
