It was a new look but the same result when the Giants faced the Redskins in this week 4 Sunday Night Football match-up in New York. Both the undefeated G-men and the Meadowlands had makeovers for the new century. The Giants turned back the clock, with newly restyled retro-inspired "NY" themed unis that earn a RetroSkins Best-Dressed Award, while the Meadowlands finally(!) tore out that wretched artificial turf and rolled out the good stuff (although one must admit, games in NY don't feel quite the same anymore, do they?). Meanwhile, the Redskins defense turned back the Giant's offense time and again, while Brad Johnson and the offense did just enough to pull away for the win. Were it not for some errant place-kicking, the score wouldn't have been so close, but a 10-point win was good enough to touch off a five-game winning streak and get Washington back on track in the early going of 2000. This win capped off a 6-2-1 nine-game run for Norv Turner's Redskins vs the Giants, the most consistent success for Turner vs any division opponent during his up-and-down tenure. This game also capped off a (sadly) rare four-game winning streak vs New York. Remastered from VHS to 1080p(ish) digital with clinical strength hyaluronic acid to preserve its ageless beauty - like Eva Longoria's face, but with a little less eyeliner.
