Rae Lakes Loop 2021 Via Kearsarge Pass

On July 4, 2021 my wife and I began our hike on the Rae Lakes Loop. We started at Onion Valley Campground and went over Kearsarge Pass. We hiked the loop clockwise camping at Charlotte lake for the first night. Bear activity was very high per the Park Rangers and other hikers who saw and had some encounters with a few bears. We didn't see any. :( The Temperatures were quite warm and no snow at the higher elevations. In which it made the river crossing up at Upper Paradise Valley where the bridge is still out very easy. I completed the JMT 3 years ago and it was good to be back in the Sierras enjoying another adventure with my better half and by the way she did a fantastic job! We completed the loop in 6 -1/2 days with 56.8 miles logged on the ol' boots. We hope you will enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed the Adventure. Hike on!
