In late June of 2024 Duke and I and my daughter Allison and her family camped for four nights in Lassen Volcanic National Park. We stayed in Manzanita Lake Campground. We had lots of adventures: - Visited the Loomis Museum and learned about the 1914 eruption. - Hiked around Manzanita Lake. - Swam in Manzanita Lake. - Explored Subway Cave. - Visited the campsite that burned in a recent car fire. - Saw a newborn deer. - Saw a pileated woodpecker. - Visited Chaos Jumbles. - Hiked the Kings Creek Falls Trail. - Saw Hot Rock. - The kids became Junior Rangers. - Went kayaking. - Visited Sulfer Works. - Drove highway 89 through the park.
