Edward Watkin pays a visit! - 7 1/4 Narrow Gauge

Stogursey Light Railway, a 7 1/4 narrow gauge live steam railway in rural Somerset. Today we have a special guest to the line, another Station Road Steam built locomotive, 0-6-0 Edward Watkin. Although a previous visitor to Stogursey Light Railway, long before we had our own youtube channel, since then many things have changed. It was lovely to have both home loco Talyllyn & Edward Watkin in steam with their matching liveries, some great shots with the pair lined up in the station, there's even a special 'doubleheader' to keep an eye out for! Of course the usual rouge train spotters out & about. The goods van having a new coat of paint in a more traditional colour. Express milk trains to keep the tea flowing. Despite the cloud & wind the wet weather managed to hold off for much of the day. A special thanks to both Ollie's for bringing their loco along again & to Roy for bringing a small portion of his O and G gauge collection which we all mulled over between driving duties. Winter is on its way & there's word on the grapevine of Ankor Wat. (see earlier video) A more regular guest to the railway, having had rebuild throughout the summer, expect a very different loco! That'll be something to look forward too, we hope for some winter sunshine so we can have our own winter gala! There's also plenty to keep 'Fretwork Rail' busy over the next few months, hopefully the crew will have time to document the maintenance and building plans.
