We specialize in pre-painted auto parts and ship them across the United States. This particular customer was a local Houstonian and came to us for minor damage to his front bumper. This removal process is pretty easy to do with just a few simple tools. We'll show you how to remove the bumper, grilles, fog lights and trim piece. It may seem like a lot but there are no tricks involved and it's straightforward. There are a total of nine pieces to this bumper and it's important make you install it all on your new bumper. TOOLS NEEDED: You will need a Philips screwdriver, a panel clip removal too or flat-head screwdriver, and a 10mm socket. PROCESS: This bumper is very straightforward when it comes to the removal process. The bottom of the bumper is held on with 10mm bolts. There are 6 bolts that go along the bottom and are super easy to remove. We then moved to the bumper ends or side near the wheel well. The fender liner is held on by 2 plastic screws. These can be a difficult to remove because they can get stripped easily. If that is the case, you can just pop them off with your clip removal tool or flat head screwdriver. Once you remove the to plastic screws on each end, you can move to the top bumper. You have to first remove the radiator cover held on by plastic clips. Underneath the radiator cover, there are 3 plastic clips that attach the bumper to the frame. Now, to remove the bumper, you just have to pull, it from the end out and work your way towards the middle of the bumper. Don't pull the bumper too aggressively, you have to unplug the foglights from the wire harness. Now that the bumper is off, we can begin with removing the grilles and foglights. Removing all the hardware can take some time but we are here to help. The fog lights are only held on by screws, about 6 of them. Remove all the screws and take out the foglights and you can pop the tabs on the fog light bezels. Repeat this on the other side and be sure not to lose the screws. Removing the lower grille is also pretty simple. There are 4 small screws that secure it to the bumper and a lot of tabs. The tabs can get stuck, so use your trusty flat-head screwdriver to pry the tabs out while pulling the grille. Once you get a few tabs off, the rest will follow. The top bumper is even easier to remove. Similar to the lower grille, just remove the three screws and pop all the tabs. Lastly, remove the rubber accent piece on the bottom by popping all the tabs off. Now you can start by installing all of these pieces to your new bumper. Our install video is coming soon!
