Sky News host Andrew Bolt says Professor Marcia Langton “embarrassed herself” again on the radio trying to defend her comments directed at No campaigners. The professor accused the No campaign of using tactics based in “racism” or “sheer stupidity” during a forum hosted by Edith Cowan University. Ms Langton criticised an article in The Australian which insinuated she called No voters racist, rather than the campaigners. “Today she embarrassed herself all over again because when she was defending herself on ABC radio trying to hose down this disaster of a Yes campaign, she still managed to suggest that actually, many No voters were indeed racist or stupid,” Mr Bolt said. “And it wasn’t just the No campaigners who were racist she said, No voters she had spoken to were racist.” The professor told the ABC many people “don’t understand” that what they are saying is racist. “Racist and stupid then, just like the headline had said and of course that's really what Langton does mean,” Mr Bolt added.
