I will be sewing this leathercraft project on my CB-4500 Cowboy Harness Stitcher I have the stitches set at five and one half stitches per inch. If you set your stitches much closer than that you risk cutting the leather with the sharp sewing needle so I set mine at a safe distance like this. I will be using a size 200 hundred harness sewing needle made by Schmetz and white polyester bonded thread from the Weaver Leather Company. The custom leather guitar strap is hand tooled and has a antique finish on it and I have grooved it with my C.S. Osborne scratch compass so it is now ready to be sewn on my leather stitching machine that I got from Toledo Industrial Sewing Machines LTD a few years ago. The pressure foot I am sewing with is an open toe pressure foot I have a closed toe pressure foot but it is a little more difficult to sew in the scratched groove.
