This repair applies to most planers, corded and cordless. Most are the same process. It's normally always the drum bearings that fail first, but it's always worth replacing them all in one go. The hardest part of the repair is getting the old bearings of, but one set of bearing splitters and pullers could be used. As for installing new bearings, a hammer and correct size socket will work if you're doing this for yourself at home. It's not recommended, but it will do if you don't have a bearing press.
