Samurai Warriors 4-II | Rare Weapon Customization Tutorial

Here, I show how to create a custom rare weapon with near-maxed skills. Customizing a rare weapon the way you want it can take some time due to randomness as you don't know what will drop. The very first thing you'll want to do is get your character's default rare weapon either in story/free mode or in later levels of survival mode. Many videos by other people are here on youtube of how to get default rare weapons in story/free mode. I recommend that method, but if you prefer survival mode or just find it too hard to do all those objectives, I have a video I posted a while back showing how to get them in survival mode. Link -    • Samurai Warriors 4-II | How to Get Ra...   Once you've gotten the default rare by either method, customizable rares will start to randomly drop in survival mode. It's random and you never know what you'll get, but it seems they usually drop after defeating playable officers. Just use interim saves and kill the officers, then check what you got. If you didn't get anything you wanted just exit from the menu, not portal, and just try again from your interim save point. It may take some time, but just keep trying until you get what you want. Gold boxes contain either 4-star non-customizable weapons or 5-star customizable rares. This is what you should be looking for. Silver boxes will be either 2 or 3-star weapons. Bronze boxes are 1-star weapons. If you happen to get a "?????????" weapon, you won't know exactly what it is until you exit through the portal. It seems easier to max skills that aren't already on a weapon. Depending on what you want to make sure gets maxed, you'll likely want to get a weapon with few skills as possible. Most people would probably want the attack and death skills maxed. Make sure your weapon doesn't already come with these skills and any others you want to make sure max out. Add the skills that you want to make sure get maxed by activating compatibility bonuses by using either 3 or 5-star weapons as material and have those weapons be at least above level 30. The higher leveled the material is, the higher the skill will be when it transfers to the custom weapon. You'll also want to make sure each time that materials have as much skills as possible that are already on the custom weapon. Example: My custom weapon starts out with fire, earth, and attack speed. The first material weapon I use to add attack also has those three skills. After attack is added I now have four skills and those four skills should be on the next material weapon along with the next skill I want to add. You want to do this because it further increases the skills that are already on the weapon. The second material used added defense, but it didn't have the earth skill. Earth still increased, but it would have increased more if it had also been on the material weapon. Each level causes everything to increase by 1 point, but you also get bonus points if the skill is on both the upgrade weapon and material. The more skills on both weapons, the better. If you add an element, it may change the weapon's element name if the skill's value becomes higher than other elements on your weapon. All that means is that you'll now have to use materials of that name to get the rest of the compatibility bonuses. Once you've activated all compatibility bonuses, you won't have to worry about using same named material. You will still want to be using materials that contain as much skills that are on your custom weapon, though.
