Lightweight Winter Hiking Boots | Altra Running Lone Peak 4 RSM Review

As we head into winter, Ben reviews the Lone Peak 4 RSM (Rain, Snow, Mud) ultralight hiking boots from Altra Running. After using them extensively in sub-zero temperatures, through snow, with micro spikes and the Kahtoola KTS crampons, torrential rain and challenging mountain conditions, we're bringing you a comprehensive breakdown of these boots. As we mention in the video, while this model has been replaced with the Lone Peak All WTHR (weather) hiking boot, the construction, materials and specs are all largely the same. As always, we buy and test all of our own kit, none of it is gifted, bringing you an honest opinion of the pros and cons of these trail running shoes cross hiking boots. We put the Lone Peak 4 RSM's through their paces in our home, the Scottish Highlands. To give you a comprehensive overview, we took them fastpacking and hiking, with day packs, overnight and multi-day packs in every season to test their ability on trail, mud, snow, wet rock and any other surface you're likely to come across when out in the hills.
