It is possible to have warm boots in the winter time, and still be ultralight. I'm reviewing the Altra Lone Peak 4 MID RSM boots in the field. I try them along with some gaiters and micro-spikes. I am in the transition from heavy weight backpacking/hiking to ultralight backpacking/hiking. I hike here in Scandinavia were there is a tradition to use very heavy gear, because of the cold and inclement weather. I am trying to change the tradition, and still be safe and comfortable. Here is a list of some of the gear that I use, and can recommend: 💁 Hiking gear: Tent: Big Agnes new 2020 Copper Spur HV UL3 Big Agnes (old model) Copper Spur HV UL2 Fjellraven Abisko Shape 3 Backpack: Zpacks Arc Haul Packliner: Gossamer Gear Packliner Quilt: Enlightened Equipment Revelation -6 and -12 celcius Sleeping pad: Therm A Rest Neoair Xlite regular wide Seat pad: Therm A Rest Z Seat Waterfilter: Katadyn BeFree 0,6 L Headlamp: Black Diamond ReVolt Stove: Soto WindMaster Stove Mug: Evernew Ti Mug Pot 500 ml and 900 ml Spoon: Sea To Summit - Alpha Light Clothes: Rain jacket: Mont-Bell Versalite Rain pants: OMM Kamleika Pants Mid layer: Mont-Bell U.L.
