Mentoring women around the world in the art of women's tambourine, ritual drumming, and the spiritual herstory of rhythm, is my jam. I was a long-time protégée of the late great Layne Redmond, master of tambourine and frame drums, and author of "When the Drummers Were Women". This beautiful and transformational instrument lends itself to magnetizing and mesmerizing drum processions, for both ceremony and celebration. Since 1998 I’ve taught countless women in my tambourine classes and workshops, called 'Moonrise: Daughters of an Ancient Pulse', how to play the tambourine, joining in powerful processions for ritual and in reverie.
