Red Bull Dolomitenmann 2020 Paraglider Intermediate Landings and Take offs Moosalm

The Dolomitenmann is an extreme sports relay race taking place in the Lienz Dolomites in Austria, near the city of Lienz. The race is started in Lienz by a mountain runner who then makes the hand-off to the team's paraglider at Kühbodentörl. Carrying his whole equipment, the paraglider must run to the first take-off point. After descending by air and landing at Moosalm, the paraglider runs to a second take-off point, descending to Leisach. Next is the mountain biker, and finally the team's kayaker finishes the so-called "world's toughest team relay race". This video shows the stopover at Moosalm of 2020s Dolomitenmann: Paraglider landings, hiking up again, and take off. Most of the pilots use quite small paragliders and harnesses specially designed for hike & fly. These miniwings are flying much faster than "normal" paragliders and react more dynamically to the pilot's steering inputs. Together with the physical exhaustion through hiking the paraglider pilots have a very tough task to do, and even watching is a real thrill!
