I actually feel obligated to give a volume warning on this one cause there was a Godzilla Earth in almost every match, but if you watch my vids you probably already know they can get a little loud lol. Anyhoo Godzilla 2004 is here and he's actually one of the better new units we've gotten this year. He works similar to Mefilas, having two attacks depending on how close he is to a target. From afar he fires the traditional atomic breath but up close he does a tail spin that has knockback and aoe. The tail spin can completely shut down units like Megaguirus and Anguirus giving them no chance to attack. But I noticed that he gets absolutely wrecked by King Caesar in water because the knockback will cause King Caesar to charge into him twice. He also cannot 1v1 G89 like in his stats screen footage, thats completely staged. G89 will still get hits in on G04 and win. This is because G04 alternates his two attcks instead of spamming his tail attack. Godzilla 2004's main drawback, also similar to Mefilas, is his cost. 7 is a lot but he definitely can put in some work, his stats are good and his attack speed is pretty fast. He also walks very fast too, which can help with applying pressure in a push, but you won't be able to stall with him much at all. And if you upgrade him in studio mode, he'll become even faster. I'm not entirely sure if this will be beneficial to him but a good player could potentially make it work. I tried numerous teams with him including Sir Melee's G04 team which I had the most sucess with. Energy base helps to get him out faster but I don't think it's necessary. G04 is pretty well rounded and can fit in almost any team as long as it isn't too expensive. He was also added to Godzilla 1954's evolution pool, meaning you could potentially use him at 5 cost. And you can still get him from there even if you haven't actually pulled one from expeditions. Overall he's a pretty great unit and becoming one of my favorites. Expect a part 2 because I recorded a lot of footage and couldn't fit it all in one vid.
