Most athletes don't carb load properly for one big reason Learn fully about triathlon carb loading! In this video we go through the most important parts of carbohydrate loading and how to make sure you do it properly. Carbohydrate loading has been shown to improve overall times by as much as 2-3% in races over 90 minutes - so that includes your olympic triathlon, half ironman triathlon or 70.3 triathlon, or an ironman triathlon. To do it properly you need to understand the strategies involved which includes things like reducing fibre content, choosing the right carbohydrates and eating enough!
