It’s also one of the most scenic New Zealand road trips. We leave Haast on the West Coast and make our way through amazing alpine and forest scenery. The first stop on our list through the Haast Pass is Thunder Creek Falls. Thunder Creek Falls at Haast Pass is a super short walk to a 25m waterfall tumbling into the river below. It’s one of the more impressive New Zealand waterfalls. We go check it out until something happens to Robin... Back in the campervan, we continue to our next stop at the Haast Blue Pools. The Blue Pools of Haast is an hour return walk to some super blue and clear glacial waters, as well as ancient podocarp forest. It’s a stunning location and definitely worth the stop in Haast Pass.
