Possibly the best hiking trail in all of Scotland is the classic West Highland Way, streching from Milngavie near Glasgow to Fort William in the shadow of the UK's highest mountain Ben Nevis. The WHW is 155 km / 96 miles long and takes 5-9 days to complete. We hiked the West Highland Way in seven days over Easter in April 2023 and it was our second time completing it. The West Highland Way trail, which takes you through the finest scenery that Scotland can offer, has been around since 1980 and is called a classic for a reason.
