Olympic Qualifiers: Behind the Scenes (Arnold Bronze Event 2020)

This was my last Olympic Qualifying event to make me eligible for the 2020 Olympics. It was my second (of 2 needed) in my new Olympic weight category, the 87kg class. The week of this competition, they announced that "NO SPECTATORS WOULD BE ALLOWED" due to the Coronavirus, leading to many athletes dropping out. While it was disappointing to perform for potentially the last time in the qualifications for the Games on the floor with no crowd vs the big stage with thousands watching, it made the entire experience so much more relaxed and fun. We came here to check off our "readiness requirement" for the Pan American Championships later in the year (that were later cancelled), and needed to hit 95% of our qualifying total. For us, that meant openers and then more or less a play day for the remaining attempts. We only took 5 of 6 attempts, as I was still recovering from the illness in that last video and I wasn't at 100% yet. No problem though, we only needed to be in 95% shape!! A little look at what goes on behind the curtains. The buzz, the conversations, the attempt changes at the card table, the fun of being able to compete right next to your teammate. All things you wouldn't normally get to see unless you were competing yourself.
