Street Racer Flees Traffic Stop From Florida Highway Patrol | Trooper Rams Vehicle to End Pursuit

On 9/2/2023 in Hillsborough County, a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper observed a black Genesis G70 involved in illegal street racing activities. The Trooper attempted to make a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle at which point the driver fled and a pursuit ensued. After showing a complete disregard for the safety of the motoring public, the Trooper ultimately determined to utilized a Precision Immobilization Technique Maneuver (PIT) to end the pursuit. After the vehicle was immobilized, the driver was taken into custody. He was turned over to staff at the Hillsborough County Jail and charged with Street Racing, Reckless Driving, and Fleeing and Eluding.
