Here's a super old school jam sesh 16 bit style! This one is from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers for the SNES! The original City theme for this game is an absolute metal shred-fest even in its 16 bit form. It takes on this very megaman-esque but even more over-the-top style and it's the kind of VGM that just makes you go "frick yeah". For my arrangement, I decided that it was most important to capture what makes the original and metallic in the first place so I didn't mess too much with the core aspects of the piece. What I did change up however is how parts work together and transition as well as repeating some parts that don't originally repeat (such as the outro to this arrangement). The rhythm guitars also took a major front seat in this arrangement more so than normally, which led me to experiment with some different production techniques to let them shine just as much as the leads. I felt like I made a pretty awesome breakthrough with my overall production quality thanks to this desire and I'm excited too continue to utilize these EQ techniques to get the rhythm guitars absolutely slamming. Overall I'm super stoked on this cover and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
