Get your funk on. funk it up! Any tempo, any ‘genre’ but you have to bring on the funk! I want to see those funky boots and feel that slap bass kicking and the riffs repeating! I started out with a Techno tempo and beat. But then added a slap bass and rhodes, trying to think funky thoughts. From there it moved into more synthy elements and the break beat, before adding the pizzicato strings. I was seriously groovin' the whole way, and while I didn't take more than 3-4 hours with everything (including video editing, rendering and upload), a lot of that time was really spent just bobbing along to the looped groove. Which also made it difficult to break out of the loop. Funkno is obviously a contraction of Funk and Techno. No idea if that's already a thing, or it is even an apt descriptor for this jam.
