This is a delicious, refreshing, summer recipe for strawberry shortcake. Or rather, strawberries and shortcake. The shortcake has a cream biscuit like texture that soaks in all the strawberry juices and slightly softens it. It is absolutely delicious. The only tweak I would make is adding a tiny bit of salt to the whipped cream. Other than that, try out this recipe as it is extremely simple to make as everything gets timed perfectly. Make the shortcakes while the berries macerate, make the whipped cream while the shortcakes cool off. By the time the whipped cream is done, everything will be ready for assembly.
