Twilight Running Day 2017 - Transport Museum, Wythall

Twilight Running Day returned to the Transport Museum at Wythall on 28th October 2017. As with other events at the museum, bus services around the local area ran throughout the day, but the highlight of this event was that the museum stayed open until the early evening to allow buses to run in the dark with internal illumination. The buses taking part included East Kent Leyland TD5 GFN273, Coventry Transport Daimler COG5 EVC244, BCT buses GOE486 (Daimler CVA6) and JOJ976 (Guy Arab IV) and Midland Red D9 BHA399C. Also running was the BCT AEC Matador, although I don't know whether or not it was called upon to rescue a stricken bus. The Transport Museum at Wythall is home to a collection of buses, with an emphasis on those operated by Midland Red, Birmingham Corporation and WMPTE. There is also a collection of electric delivery vehicles.
