Godzilla Battle Line: Chibi Duo and Destoroyah Ariake Meme Matches

The Chibi Duo and Destoroyah Ariake Battle version join the game for season 35 of GBL! I was originally planning to come back to the meme vids when the GxK season came around, but this season surprised everyone. And it was just too good for me to miss. The Chibi Duo is a 4 cost unit deployed as a pair. Each with their own stats and abilities. They probably have the most shit in their kit out of any unit in the game, and I can't explain it all here due to the word cap. But in short: they can burn, stun, compel enemies, and also heal, buff, or even revive themselves under certain conditions. These two perform best when allies are nearby that they can support by stunning or compelling the enemy, but even by themselves they can put in work. They can stunlock some slow hitters thanks to their 2.6s atk speed, and against aoe units who could hit them both, the compel move allows them to snap apart so they are no longer together. These two are absurdly good for their cost and provide possibly the best utility out of any unit in the game. Their presence alone makes any push twice as good. The Chibis are most susceptible to raw damage that could quickly kill them both before they can do any of their shenanigans. Bio's aoe is big enough that it can hit both Chibis even after they split up from the compel. Train Bomb also takes a fat chunk of their health, and may cause them to waste their compel, which can only be done once per deploy. Ariake Dest, or DAB is a super fast 5 cost unit. He has two attacks, the usual oxy beam, and when not targeted by an enemy, he'll do his horn attack that hits twice. And the second hit of it applies defense down to enemies. He deals 20% extra dmg to ground units, giving him a ridiculous 1k dps against them with the horn. His fast walk speed can be a good and bad thing. Don't deploy him first cause he'll just run in and die. Deploy him after sending out some allies that he can hide behind, so he'll be able to slash at enemies while being protected. He takes more skill to use than some other units, but when played correctly, DAB is insanely strong and can end the game in seconds. While powerful, DAB falls flat on his ass when no allies are around. He can't use his horn if something is targeting him, and the oxy beam is very weak. Quick units like Gigan 04 can sneak in and assassinate him if there's an opening, and he also doesn't like it when a -1 explodes in his face.  Overall these two units are amazing and hella fun. If you're thinking about using G-mats on these guys, I think they're a fine choice. The Chibi's dual support and DAB's brutal offense is something all teams can benefit from, and they work together very well too. Just make sure you have some strong units that can take the hits for them. Godzilla 54 Tokyo version got some range buffs this season, and I took him into fair match cause mine is so low lvl he can't do anything in rank 66. T54 is a very strong and fast unit with a smorgasbord of immunities. Most notably to stuns, slows, death explosions, and all effect units. His immunities along with his solid stats and aoe make him a force to be reckoned with.  However, I believe T54's fast walk speed hurts his kit. I think he'd be much better if he was slow like the old 54, so you could stall with him and utilize his immunities better by him being the tank. But his speed can be used to apply pressure. T54 did very well, not a bad unit at all. Super Mechagodzilla got some buffs too and I used him in a fair match. He's a 6 cost support unit with a very long aoe. He acts similar to M19, but instead of being a mixed support unit, he focuses solely on slowing down pushes. When first deployed, SMG fires beams on the ground, then a 5 second animation plays that blocks the ENTIRE screen which could really mess you up. However, it can be used to stall for a bit. SMG provides superb crowd control to a team. I noticed he's even better against enemies who are in the water, slowing them down further. Like T54, I think SMG moves just a little too fast, but he's usually gonna be targeting something so it's not as bad. He's vulnerable to Gigan 04 and Shinden which can distract him for a very long time. SMG is a beast though, and I had a lot of fun with him. He pairs stupid well with the Chibis and Mog2. DT can be used to keep enemies away from him too. This season was super fun. One of the best seasons for sure. Next season is Aqua Mothra and Godzilla 02-03, but I think imma save my meme energy for the 3rd anniv. Cause they seem to be building up to something big. Probably gonna do some regular gameplay in the meantime. Stay tuned!
