Back in the Hillbilly days of Australian country music, one of the popular songs was "The Farmyard Yodel" by Buddy Bishop. I can remember, as a kid, one of my uncles having the 78, and I used to really enjoy playing it. Buddy lived in Tamworth, and the track was first recorded in 1949 in the 2TM studios...and, this was a million years before Tamworth was dubbed Australia's "Country Music Capital". After his initial fame, Buddy eventually went into semi retirement, until Eric Scott persuaded him into the Hadley Studios to record again. That was September 1970, and the resulting four track E.P. hit the stores in January 1971. Title of the E.P. was "Buddy's Back"...Hadley HEP527. Lead track on the E.P. was a new recording of the classic "Farmyard Yodel"...and, here it is in this upload.
