In 1814, the War of 1812 came to an end, but the tensions that had brought about the conflict between the United States and British Empire had not gone away. Over the next century, both countries would swing between friendship to active hositllity. This video aims to be a short documentary looking at the competition between Britain and America in this era, roughly from 1814-1855. Part 2 will cover the rest of the century.
