Most of the people heard the word, entropy only after the release of Christopher Nolan’s Movie, Tenet. But, entropy is taught in +2 physics and above. But still, the relation of entropy with the direction of flow of time or the so called “ Arrow of time” is not taught there. Entropy is always considered as a difficult subject to grasp. This is not because the idea is complicated. It is because the idea is very Subtle. Let us find out in this video, what is the concept behind Entropy and how it is related to Arrow of time. ക്രിസ്റ്റഫർ നോലന്റെ ന്റെ TENET എന്ന ഹോളിവുഡ് മൂവി വന്ന ശേഷം ആണ് Entropy എന്ന വാക്ക് പലരും ആദ്യമായി കേട്ടത്. ഒരു, +2 മുതൽ മേലോട്ട് ഫിസിക്സ് പഠിച്ചവരെല്ലാം ഈ വാക്ക് നേരെത്തെ കേട്ടു കാണും. പക്ഷെ അപ്പോളും അതിനു സമയവുമായി, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ സമയത്തിന്റെ മുന്നോട്ടുള്ള പ്രയാണവുമായി (The Arrow of Time) എന്ത് ബന്ധമാണുള്ളതെ കേട്ട് കാണാൻ വഴിയില്ല.. ഈ എൻട്രോപ്പി എന്നത് ക്വാണ്ടം മെക്കാനിക്സ് പോലെയോ റിലേറ്റിവിറ്റി പോലെയോ ആധുനിക ഭൗതീക ശാസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമല്ല . എൻട്രോപ്പി എന്നത് ക്ലാസിക്കൽ ഫിസിക്സ്സിന്റെ ടോപ്പിക്ക് ആണ്. 1865 ൽ Rudolf Clausius എന്ന ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനാണ് എൻട്രോപ്പി എന്ന ആശയം കൊണ്ട് വന്നത്. ആശയം ഇത്തിരി പഴയതാണെങ്കിലും , അത്ര പെട്ടെന്ന് മനസിലാക്കാൻ പറ്റുന്ന ഒരു ആശയം അല്ല അത് . അതിനു കാരണം അത് ക്വാന്റാണ് മെക്കാനിക്സ് പോലെയോ റിലേറ്റിവിറ്റി പോലെയോ വളരെ കോംപ്ലിക്കേറ്റഡ് ആയ ഒരു വിഷയം ആയതു കൊണ്ടല്ല. മറിച്ചു വളരെ subtle ആയ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വളരെ സൂഷ്മമായ ഒരു ടോപ്പിക്ക് ആയതു കൊണ്ടാണ്. എൻട്രോപ്പി എന്ന വാക്കിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനപരമായ ആശയം എന്താണെന്നും, അതിനു സമയത്തിന്റെ പ്രയാണവുമായി എന്ത് ബന്ധമാണ് ഉണ്ട് എന്നും ഈ വീഡിയോ വഴി കണ്ടു നോക്കാം.
