Isaac makes Trust history with 100 consecutive Saturday session appearances

Isaac, a young boy from Falmouth, has made Argyle Community Trust history by attending 100 consecutive Saturday football sessions. The 11-year-old has been present at every session for nearly two years and has grown in confidence and football ability by attending on Saturdays. Moving into the upper level of the programme might seem like a daunting task for many, but Isaac took this change positively and has made the most of his 90 minutes of action on the weekend. “I enjoy meeting new friends, having fun and playing football,” he explained. Liam Chinn, the Trust’s West Cornwall Regional Manager, presented Isaac with a custom Plymouth Argyle home shirt, with Isaac 100 printed and signed by club captain Joe Edwards. Liam praised Isaac’s commitment to the Falmouth sessions: “This has never happened before and is a first for anywhere in the Trust, and what an achievement it is. I think I see him more than my family, at school on a Friday and here on a Saturday, and he is an absolute pleasure.” The sessions usually consist of 30 minutes of warm-up, followed by skill-based games and matches after. Isaac’s Dad has nothing but praise for the work of the Trust’s coaches and the sessions put on.  He said: “He gets to be fit and play football on a Saturday morning, and with the session finishing at 10:30, it also gives time to get up to Argyle or go shopping.  “He’s now met children already at Falmouth School, and as he’s heading there soon, the transition will be smoother for him because of these connections.” Congratulations Isaac, from everyone at the Trust, for your amazing achievement and dedication to these sessions!
