Can't believe it - I should have filmed that old Bennie lift when I had a chance, but NOOOOO....I wanted to film the motor room and come back and do it in one hit - 3 months later I'm back and TOO LATE!! It's gone!! I was a scary one speed lift from the 1970s "concrete high rise flats" era - no nice features just functionality. It screeched to a halt and was scary - just the type of lift I enjoy filming. REALLY wanted to get into that motor room to film it and I could have done, had it not been modernised months before :( So, not a good start!!! Later in the day I found this "cable lifts" lift. Not quite as interesting as the Bennie would have been but still this is a classic and certainly one that I'm interested to film. But after my epic fail a few weeks (when I let an unlocked motor room door go and it locked before I had a chance to film it) I starting to have second thoughts about attempting go and see this motor room....
