Today we are enjoying our last day in Medan. Medan is the capital of Indonesia’s North Sumatra province. It was not my usual idea of an adventure, but I decided to check out a colourful church I had seen online. Marian Shrine of Annai Velangkanni. Our Lady of Good Health Church is a Marian shrine built in the Indo-Dravida style that opened in 2005 in Medan, Indonesia. Usually, I do not enjoy a church so much, but when I saw the artwork that decorated the walls. I must say I was very impressed. The walls were designed as you might have guests. Jesus and Dinosaurs. Now this sounds like my kind of church. This adventure was turning around. I was surprised that many of the visitors exploring the church were young locals.
