On today's adventure, we rent out a motorcycle and head toward Mount Sibayak. Mount Sibayak is a stratovolcano overlooking the town of Berastagi in northern Sumatra, Indonesia. Thankfully the mountain hasn't faced eruptions in over a century. However, there is still much geothermal activity in the form of steam vents and hot springs. Similar to the Ijen Volcano located on the border between Banyuwangi Regency and Bondowoso Regency of East Java, Indonesia. The vents produce a crystalline sulfur which was mined in the past. After a quick hike, we head up to the top of the mountain to get a better view of the surrounding area.
