MODIFICA CLASSICA | 1979 Porsche 911 3.2L RSR Outlaw Backdate

MODIFICA CLASSICA | 1979 Porsche 911 RSR Outlaw For more on my builds & content, follow my instagram account @modificaclassica. This car sold on pcarmarket for $150,000 on June 16, 2023. Built as a tribute to the legendary 911 RSR and ST, this tastefully restored and modified 1979 Porsche 911 coupe was acquired by the owner with the goal of adding to the custom restoration undertaken by the previous caretaker. The current owner has overseen the installation of an upgraded Classic Retrofit electric air-condition system, custom BBS wheels, an all new windows out paint job in Stone Grey, 930 wider steel front and rear flares, and a customized interior featuring a Porsche Classic Radio with Apple Carplay, and heated Recaro Sportster CS seats in Nappa leather. Acquired by the current owner in August, 2022 and underwent a nearly year long refurbishment and modification completed in May, 2023. Restoration was overseen by air-cooled experts at KMW Motorsports in South Florida. Having been driven approximately 1500 miles over the last year, this Outlaw 911 is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Florida. The flat-six motor was rebuilt to 3.2L specifications, and features a Mahle 3.2L conversion with 98mm Max Moritz Pistons & Cylinders with 9.3 Compression along with a Joe Dougherty 964 Cam Grind and Fidanza aluminum flywheel. The Patrick Motorsports 46mm PMO Carburetor package complimented by the 964 Cam Grind and upgraded pistons and cylinders keep this outlaw widebody backdated 911 ripping right on the edge of rugged and refined. Thermal load is further reduced by SSI headers crafted in T304 stainless steel, and a center outlet muffler from M&K in a GT3-look configuration provides incredible acoustics with dual-center tailpipes with 2.50in outer diameter. The close-ratio 915 transmission features a Patrick Motorsports SACS pressure plate & clutch. MSD 6al ignition with MSH Coils and Gary Fairbanks transmission rebuilt by previous owner. The outlaw theme continues with windows out paint in Porsche Stone Grey code 5710, along with all black interior, front trunk, and engine bay. The extensive body work included welding all steel Dansk 930 front and rear quarter flares from TRE Motorsport, for a substantially wider stance with 11.00” rear and 9.00” front. TRE motorsports also provided steel backdate signal boxes, as well as front and rear 930 width glass bumpers. Additional exterior body updates include GT Racing glass Long hood & GT Racing ST rear glass engine cover with ST stainless steel hinges. The gas tank has been stripped, boiled, and recoated and sealed. All new rubber seals and windshield glass have also been installed. BBS Motorsport E50 original magnesium centers in gold present well, and are entirely rebuilt with new barrels, hardware, and gaskets sourced from BBS Motorsport in Georgia. These significantly wider wheels compliment the wider stance provided by the Dansk 930 wider steel quarters and fenders. Rears are 17.00in x 11.00in wide with a 6.00in outer barrel, and Fronts are a 17.00 x 9.00in with a 3.00in outer barrel. The wait list for a set of new E50 centers from BBS Motorsport is said to be over several years long. Suspension features hollow torsion bars along with Bilstein HD Rear shocks and Turbo Tie Rods from Elephant Racing, further improving feedback and steering precision. Signature outlaw details include Porsche vintage gold lettering on rear deck lid, Matte black drilled door handles from Rose Passion, black horn grilles, and Achtung Kraft black bullet mirrors with flag mount. Interior equipment features fully customized blacked out details including Momo Mod 07 deep concave leather steering wheel, along with Recaro Sportster CS seats in genuine soft Napa leather with heat, tons of Rennline bits including the lower backdate dash, magnetic phone mount in tach, ignition cover, floor mats, and AC controls. Function First Performance anodized black shift knob with Wevo Shifter. The Carbone leather door cards in genuine soft Napa leather with classic quilted stitch, while the top of doors have been refinished by e3customs upholstery. Entirely new air conditioning equipment has been fitted with electric air from Classic Retrofit in the UK featuring a high output 175 amp performance alternator. A Clewett Engineering Serpentine fan belt conversion kit from Pelican Parts was added as well as a cure to broken, stretched, and tossed fan belts. The Audio system has been updated with new speakers hidden in perforated leather door cards along with Porsche Classic communication system with Apple Carplay to easily use Bluetooth audio and a host of apps native to the iPhone. Midland GMRS handheld radio for aircooled breakfast crew drives is included, and can be removed with just one tap when not in use. This backdated 911 RSR / ST tribute is now offered by the seller with refurbishment records and photos, and a clean Florida title.
