AMAZING BRAND NEW MITSUBISHI Traction Elevators at The JW Marriott Water Street in Tampa, FL

Filmed on February 22nd, 2021. Alright everyone, THIS IS THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!!! The Brand New JW Marriott in Downtown Tampa, Tampa's VERY FIRST 5 Star Hotel is OFFICIALLY OPEN, and YES, the elevators are indeed MITSUBISHI, and I've now gotten the chance to film them!!! Back in 2016, I got to ride my VERY FIRST Mitsubishi Elevators in San Francisco, and I absolutely LOVED them! I loved their fixtures, chimes and the build quality and ride quality was absolutely TOP NOTCH! Later that year, I got word Mitsubishi was expanding their elevator business to Tampa, Florida and since then, I've been VERY EXCITED to see some New Mitsy's get installed in my home area! And then in 2019, I found out on the MyFloridaLicense site that both this hotel as well as the New Hard Rock North Tower being built at the time would be getting Mitsubishi Elevators, and I've been looking forward to riding both of them! And fast forward to December of 2020, and now the JW Marriott is open and the elevators are indeed Mitsubishi!!! This Hotel is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and the elevators are absolutely NO EXCEPTION! I LOVE the Elevator Cabs a LOT, and the elevators themselves are VERY NICE, and have everyone's favorite, Iconic Mitsubishi Chimes!!! I was a little disappointed this place went with Touchscreens as opposed to regular buttons, but even if the screens don't last forever, the equipment certainly will for MANY years to come! And the Call Stations and Door Controls are still VERY MUCH Mitsubishi fixtures!!! (The call stations kind of look like Otis, but push differently) The ride quality also wasn't quite as smooth as other Mitsy's I've been on either, they ran more like Schindler 5500s as opposed to Mitsubishi's if I'm being completely honest. That said, they didn't run poorly by any means. I'm not sure if these are DiamondTrac MRL or not, I'd assume they are, but I'm not 100% sure. Aside from a few minor gripes however, these elevators are STILL Absolutely BEAUTIFUL and feel very solid and words just CAN'T describe how HAPPY I am WE NOW HAVE MITSUBISHI IN FLORIDA!!!! And they have the EXACT same chimes as the ones I've ridden in California as well as ones you'd find in Japan!!! Another thing I also found very interesting is these elevators actually have DOOR BUMPERS which you almost NEVER see in Modern Elevators anymore!!! But before y'all start pointing out how dated that sounds, the bumpers actually DOUBLE as Sensors!!! VERY VERY Cool & Unique and Not something you see everyday!!! One thing to note, the reason I'm saying these are ONE OF Florida's First Mitsubishi Elevators as opposed to Flat Out Saying they're Florida's Very First is because the Hard Rock opened first while this place has only been open since December of 2020. Unfortunately though, due to how security is at the Hard Rock, I haven't had any luck filming those, but fortunately these are VERY EASY to access!!! I will try to get to the Hard Rock's elevators eventually if security allows, but for now, I sure hope these elevators will be good enough! I mean, I certainly enjoyed them!!! :) Overall, this is just a VERY NICE & BEAUTIFUL & Very Fast & Efficient New Elevator System installed by one of the VERY FEW Elevator Companies that still makes quality stuff today inside of a BEAUTIFUL Brand New Hotel, and I REALLY look forward to seeing more of these Mitsubishi Elevators installed in the near future! I sure hope you enjoy this video just as much as I enjoyed checking these elevators out! So with that being said, enjoy this video featuring BOTH the Main Hotel & Convention Center Elevators at Tampa's FIRST EVER 5 Star Hotel!!!! Installed in Late 2020.
